The Green Woman

The Green Woman The green woman is a preliminary drawing for a mural in Cardiff. It would have been a series of half a dozen paintings in a row. Each figure would have been 15 feet tall, but nothing came of it.  Pen an ink onto paper approx size A3 ( 210mm x 420mm) Link to the website

The fox of Bute Street Cardiff

The Fox of Bute Street. I walked down Bute Street in Cardiff a few months ago toward the Bay. I saw this graffiti on the dark green switching boxes from the telephone companies. There were many more following the same theme of the animals of the night and sea.  This graffiti was a joy to see. The graphic image that fills the space of the switch box and the underlying surface colour is extensively used to make the image. It looks like the artist cut out the character from sticky back plastic. They stuck them onto the dark green boxes and applied white emulsion paint. They either remove the stencils when the paint is wet or return them later and remove them when dry. To top it all, ease of production.   Great work; I hope to see some more soon.
